Jane Blair is a professional quilt artist living in Wyomissing, PA. Though graduated with a B.S in Education from West Chester University.PA., she is self taught in quiltmaking and has devoted a regular eight hour day to it for more than thirty years.
By invitation, Jane's quilts have been selected as representative of American quiltmaking in forums in Austria, Japan, Denmark and New Zealand; in three world tours; solo shows and local quilt group shows in most every state in the U.S.
Her quilts are also in the permanent collection of :

As well as contributing to written articles for magazines, her work has been shown on TV, in many books, calendars, and catalog and magazine covers. In 2008 she had a show at Penn State (Berks); in 2007 a solo show at Goggleworks Center for the Arts; in 2005 a solo show at the National Quilt Museum,- "My Soul is Fed by Needle and Thread"; in 2004 a featured exhibit at International Quilt Association in Chicago and Nashville- "Still Crazy After All These Years"
Though now retired she taught quiltmaking and designing in the Philadelphia area beginning in 1972, and has taught and lectured in many states.
She has won numerous awards in national and international shows, placing first or second in the master division more than a dozen times. She also won best of show at American Quilters Society.
A quilt by Jane was chosen by international jury and judges as one of the best one hundred quilts of the 20th century.
Jane is a member of The International Quilt Association; The American Quilters Society; The National Museum of Women in the Arts; and a Lifetime Honorary member of The Pennsylvania Quilters.
